Summary

3。25*This felt like a watered down version of The Cruel Prince, and also like it was trying very hard (perhaps too hard) to convince the reader that it’s not a romance…but still with some romantic intrigue。 I probably had too high a hope for it, but I did feel slightly let down。 Still enjoyable, but I’m not convinced I shall read the second part unless there’s a good deal on。

Soooo freakin good!! Fingers crossed for a series from this。 Holly Black has seriously honed her craft - I remember reading "Coldest Girl in Coldtown" in middle school and really liking it but not being blown away - "The Cruel Prince" is an amazing series and this book does not disappoint as a sequel。 Cheers to her for sure!! Sadly I couldn't get into the plot or like the main character, she was just very annoying to me Even the side characters where so boring to me that I didn't care what happened to them。 BUT Oak actually kept me reading, I looooved his character so much and I loved being back in elfhame and just to read about Jude and Cardan brought me so much happiness。 The ending really saved everything for me, I'm now actually really excited for the next book because of it。But now I'm going to reread the cruel Sadly I couldn't get into the plot or like the main character, she was just very annoying to me Even the side characters where so boring to me that I didn't care what happened to them。 BUT Oak actually kept me reading, I looooved his character so much and I loved being back in elfhame and just to read about Jude and Cardan brought me so much happiness。 The ending really saved everything for me, I'm now actually really excited for the next book because of it。But now I'm going to reread the cruel prince Trilogy because I miss Jude and Cardan so much and I deserve the happiness 。。。more

I love the Folk of the Air series so was excited to read this one。Jude wasn't in this one, which was a little disappointing。 But this one has her younger brother Oak in it。 I really love reading about Oak and completely forgot that he had hoofs, so that came as a bit of a surprise。 Took a little bit to get into this book but once it was going, I found it hard to put down。Great read and cant wait for the next one in the series。4 stars I love the Folk of the Air series so was excited to read this one。Jude wasn't in this one, which was a little disappointing。 But this one has her younger brother Oak in it。 I really love reading about Oak and completely forgot that he had hoofs, so that came as a bit of a surprise。 Took a little bit to get into this book but once it was going, I found it hard to put down。Great read and cant wait for the next one in the series。4 stars 。。。more

I'd never want to visit Elfhame and yet I return there eagerly with each new book。 Although, this book didn't have the complexity of the first trilogy, I was startled the way it ended。 I guess I was assuming this was a standalone (no idea why) and when I reached the end I seriously hoped it wasn't。 I'd never want to visit Elfhame and yet I return there eagerly with each new book。 Although, this book didn't have the complexity of the first trilogy, I was startled the way it ended。 I guess I was assuming this was a standalone (no idea why) and when I reached the end I seriously hoped it wasn't。 。。。more

Of course it ends in a cliffhanger。 And while I understand Wren’s final decisions, I don’t like them。 Guess I have to wait for Book 2。

This is a compelling tale of woes and sorrows mixed with betrayals and otherworldly gore in a breathtaking fantasy world。 Nothing in Elfhame is ever simple and these twists will leave you begging for more。 It's fantastic to see our Prince all grown up and how cleverly events were foreshadowed in the other series。 I adore well plotted layering and this unputdownable book was rich with it。Faeries are my favorite beings to read about and dream of。 Ms。 Black executed a stunningly well written book w This is a compelling tale of woes and sorrows mixed with betrayals and otherworldly gore in a breathtaking fantasy world。 Nothing in Elfhame is ever simple and these twists will leave you begging for more。 It's fantastic to see our Prince all grown up and how cleverly events were foreshadowed in the other series。 I adore well plotted layering and this unputdownable book was rich with it。Faeries are my favorite beings to read about and dream of。 Ms。 Black executed a stunningly well written book with captivating scenes and unforgettable characters。 If you adore something a little dark with bite, this is for you! 。。。more

4,5/5 !!!! My first remark that I had was the fact that the book was written in Wren's (or Suren's) point of view。 I thought it was going to be Oak's story but I was pleasantly surprised。 The scheming, secrets, loyalties that are tested and betrayal were the highlight of the book for me。 Totally different than the cruel prince trilogy but in the best way。 The trilogy felt more political? The stolen heir was more a quest that tested the main characters loyalty to each other。 The ending really sur 4,5/5 !!!! i loved the book and i loved reading wren and oak but i like the cruel prince trilogy better。 The plot twist was nice and i enjoyed the book but the cruel prince plot twists gave me more shock than this。Overall i liked the book, it was worth my time but i thought i would be more shocked at the ending。

The book REALLY wants me to remember what Oak's eyes look like, up until the very end huh? But it's Elfhame so I can't help but love it really。 The book REALLY wants me to remember what Oak's eyes look like, up until the very end huh? But it's Elfhame so I can't help but love it really。 。。。more

Because I fell wholeheartedly in love with The Folk of the Air series, and because I’m a fan of Holly Black’s imaginative writing in general, I was super excited for this book。 And I understood that although The Stolen Heir was to take place in the same “Elfhame” universe, and would involve characters from the aforementioned series, it would still be a novel (or eventually a duology) unto itself。 However, I think I must have built my expectations way too high, because it just left me a bit under Because I fell wholeheartedly in love with The Folk of the Air series, and because I’m a fan of Holly Black’s imaginative writing in general, I was super excited for this book。 And I understood that although The Stolen Heir was to take place in the same “Elfhame” universe, and would involve characters from the aforementioned series, it would still be a novel (or eventually a duology) unto itself。 However, I think I must have built my expectations way too high, because it just left me a bit underwhelmed。 And even though I found myself getting bored with it a few times when it seemed the story was dragging or the pace too slow, I still did enjoy the book, overall。 In general, I think the plot was good, with a good share of action and adventure, new scary foes and cool friendly faerie creatures, and loads of royal/political intrigue as well。 It also has the nice amount of twists and turns you’d expect from Black。 I found the character of Suren intriguing and interesting to learn about, and it was also fun to see how little Oak had grown up。 I only wish we got to learn more about some of the side characters, especially Tiernan and Hyacinth。 I also wish we were shown just a little more development in all the characters and their relationships。 (Hopefully we will see that in the next book!) But, as I said before—overall, it was a pretty enjoyable and entertaining read, and I think fans of the other books in this universe would likely agree。 。。。more

I was unfocused and uninterested the entire time I read。 I really tried hard and got almost half way before I realized that I actually didn’t care about a single character and wasn’t following along the story。 I was honestly just reading to see if I’d catch a glint of Cardan and Jude, which I didn’t。

I first read the Cruel Prince when I was 17 and a senior in High School。 Now, I’m 21 and a senior in college and returning back to this world。 It’s been a crazy nostalgic feeling, like seeing old friends after a long time away。 Everyone has gotten older and has stories I wasn’t there to witness。 It’s something really special to get to go back to a world that was such a huge part of me when I was younger。Anytime they mentioned Jude or Cardan and the events of the original trilogy my first reactio I first read the Cruel Prince when I was 17 and a senior in High School。 Now, I’m 21 and a senior in college and returning back to this world。 It’s been a crazy nostalgic feeling, like seeing old friends after a long time away。 Everyone has gotten older and has stories I wasn’t there to witness。 It’s something really special to get to go back to a world that was such a huge part of me when I was younger。Anytime they mentioned Jude or Cardan and the events of the original trilogy my first reaction was to say “I know them!” Or “I was there for that!” Needless to say I was eating up any and every crumb of Jude and Cardan content I could get。Beyond that, as a book I really enjoyed this。 It was funny to see Oak as an older boy now instead of a child。 Wren was also a really interesting character and even though I wanted to shake her silly for those last two chapters I love her。 I just want to give her a hug at the end of the day。 Girl needs it。 Now I’m forced to live in the misery that is knowing I won’t be able to read the next book until next year 🙃 。。。more

As an AI language model, I am not capable of having personal preferences or opinions, however, "El legado robado" (The Stolen Legacy) is a mystery novel written by American author Elizabeth Adler。 The story is set in the beautiful city of Paris and follows the protagonist, art historian and sleuth, Hope Devlin, as she tries to solve the mystery of a stolen painting that holds a significant historical and cultural value。 The book is well-paced and is a good option for readers who enjoy light mystery novels with a touch of history and romance。

As an AI language model, I have no personal preference for books。 However, "El Legado Robado" is a Spanish book written by Clive Cussler, which translates to "The Stolen Legacy" in English。 It is a thriller novel that follows the journey of a renowned archaeologist named Dr。 Nicole Vaugel, who is on a mission to unravel the mystery surrounding the ancient artifacts that are being stolen from museums around the world。 The plot revolves around a high-stakes adventure that takes the readers on a rollercoaster ride through exotic locations, ancient myths, and prophecies。 The book has received mixed reviews, with some readers enjoying the fast-paced plot and intriguing characters, while others found it predictable and formulaic。
